Living Diversity collects work by the Columbia Pike Documentary Project, a team of photographers and interviewers who have captured the evolving life of the people and places that make up this historic corridor in Arlington, Virginia, immediately adjacent to the nation's capital. Five gifted photographers have collaborated to document the essence of the place they call home. Older, established ways of life are still in place along the Pike, flourishing alongside those of large numbers of citizens from every corner of the planet. Unlike in many parts of the world, or even in our own country, a stunningly diverse set of people live here in relative harmony. Diplomarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich BWL - Investition und Finanzierung, Note: 2,0, Universitat Mannheim, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Anfangs ein ausschliesslich europaisches Produkt, hat sich der Covered Bond innerhalb der letzten Jahre auch in den USA und in Asien einen Namen gemacht. In Europa ist der Covered Bond langst zu einem unverzichtbaren Refinanzierungsinstrument fur Kreditinstitute geworden, dessen Wichtigkeit erst jungst durch das Ankaufprogramm der Europaischen Zentralbank bestatigt wurde. Wahrend Kreditinstitute sich durch die Emission von Covered Bonds gunstig am Kapitalmarkt refinanzieren konnen, schatzen Investoren die enorm hohe Sicherheit der Anleihen bei einer relativ hoheren Rendite gegenuber Staatsanleihen. Die Besicherungsstruktur von Covered Bonds gilt als derart sicher, dass die Anleihen in Literatur und Praxis als Alternative, manchmal sogar als Substitute fur Staatsanleihen genommen werden. In der uber 200-jahrigen Geschichte ist noch nie ein Covered Bond ausgefallen und auch in der Subprimekrise und der darauffolgenden Finanzkrise waren sie nicht so stark von Wertverlusten betroffen wie Asset Backed Securities oder Mortgage Backed Securities, obwohl sie auch mit Hypothekenkrediten gedeckt sein konnen. Daher wird in der Literatur haufig angenommen, dass Covered Bonds ausfallfrei sind und der Spread der Anleihen ausschliesslich von Liquiditatsrisiken beeinflusst wird. Vor dem Hintergrund der gestiegenen Risikoaversion der Investoren wahrend der Finanzkrise sowie der kurzlich aufgekeimten Krise um die Bonitat einiger europaischer Staaten scheint es jedoch sehr fraglich, ob Covered Bond Spreads tatsachlich nur eine Liquiditatsrisikopramie enthalten oder ob Marktteilnehmer nicht doch auch eine Pramie fur das Ausfallrisiko forder
